Our Mission

Our mission is to collect used glasses and provide them to people in need. With your help and donations, we hope to donate thousands of glasses across the world through our donation partner, OneSight!

Ria Kaith

Co-Founder

Ria is a second year at UVA. She was the captain of her speech team and vice president of Key club, a service organization that connects people to different service opportunities. Throughout her life, Ria has always been passionate about service and giving back to the community. That's why she started On the Bright Sight!

Our Story

Ria and Siya have both had had glasses from a very young age. When Ria broke her glasses on a cruise for 7 days, she faced the first-hand agitation that others experienced by not having a pair of glasses. She knew she had to do something. After talking with Siya, they came up with a plan to combat this disparity and thus, in 2019, On the Bright Sight was born. Since then, Ria and Siya have donated over 1,000 glasses and helped people all across the world.

Find Some Glasses

Location

OneSight

Find any glasses lying around your house. Don't worry if they are dirty. OneSight, the organization that we donate to has the equipment to clean and distribute glasses.

Our locations for donating are a work in progress. We have one location in the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion (20585 Ashburn Village Blvd, Ashburn, VA 20147). Keep an eye out for our boxes with the big red glasses!

Your donated glasses will be sent to underprivileged places all across America and the world through an organization called OneSight that promotes equitable access to all.

Attention BRHS Key Clubbers...

Our Box is in the Main Office!

Each pair of glasses donated is the equivalent of 30 minutes of service. No more than 4 glasses can be donated (2 hours of service) and don't worry, they don't have to be new!
